Hi All,

Through Yahoo mail I can import my outlook contacts to my yahoo email account...

It says . ............ To transfer contacts from a desktop email program, you'll need to save your info into a file first. Either of these formats will work: .csv or .vcf.

The question is what file... ie. word document, excel spreadsheet. Anyone know the 'file' I need to use and then save as a .csv

You can export your contact directly from Outlook into a csv file - just go into Contacts > Import/Export and choose Export To A File, Comma Separated Values (Windows). Outlook will ask you to provide a file name, and this will obviously be the same name you'll use to import to Yahoo.

With your help I got alot further on,, but this was the message..

Step 2 - Select Contacts to Import

We found 0 Contacts for you from A desktop email program (Outlook, AppleMail, etc...).
Select the ones you'd like to add to your Yahoo! contact list and then click "Import."


Something not right...

wee hee.... I opened up the spreadsheet & deleted all the unecessary fields. Just kept First name, Surname & email.. and it worked...
