Do any of you know where i can get one of the new sky cards and a rough idea of the cost of one also i herd a roumer that sky were sending a signal in june to scrambel all sky boxes outside the uk any one herd anything else on this?

They can't differentiate between boxes outside of the UK or in it. The important item is the card, and these are all formally registered at UK addresses, the signal from the satellites reaches Cyprus in a weak state but is partially usable and if you have a card registered in the UK then it will work fine, same as if you take your card and box back to UK it will work fine. So the rumour is not technically possible. There could be other reasons to stop reception but not the rumour you mentioned.

To get a replacement card you simply go online to their site, pump in the card number and its registered UK address, they post a new one there.

I was given my sky box and card can i buy a new card on the black market as i have lost some of my fav programs

sorry !! don't have first hand experience of that. If you have relatives or friends in UK then i would look at going down a 'freesatbysky' card route, you can get 'card only' but need to give them a call, there is a post in the FAQ of PP to hide your telephone number. Once the card arrives at registered address you get posted here, on arrival here you call sky to make the card live, they ask a few questions such as box serial number, model etc and confirm address then all works.
