 Post subject: Gorgeous crunchy crumble

Saw this tip on Ready Steady Cook and thought I would try it as I got rhubarb in Paps.

Do the crumble mix in the normal way - I think ( havn't got any scales!) I used 6 oz Flour, 3 oz sugar and 3 oz butter, then put some tin foil on a large baking sheet and spread the crumble mixture thinly over the surface. Cook in a hot oven for about 10 mins until starting to colour. Put rhubarb in an oven dish with a tablespoon of water and sugar to taste then add the crumble mix - cook for a further 10 mins. Absolutely delicious - no more stodgy crumble for us!!
