Hi All, :greetings

Does anyone know approx. how long tin foiled potatoes, normal size, take to cook in the coals of a BBQ?

There will probably be about 50.

Problem is to pre-cook the spuds, means they sit waiting to be fully cooked later on & they always taste funny to me after that.

Also does anyone know of a cheap but tasty marinade for pork & chicken pieces?

:giggle

pork seasoning i like nice n simple (and cheap cheap) not sure if really a marinade - wash in vinegar, rinsed in water, olive oil splashed plentifully, then add powdered cinnamon, pepper and dried oregano .. probably in 2:1:3 ratio ?! add salt near end of cooking to draw some fat to make a little crispy on the outside ?!

When we do potatoes under the souvla and/or on the skewers tend to allow an hour and they come out ultra soft and probably a touch dry !!

Jacket potatoes done in tin foil take about 1 hour in the coals - remember to turn them several times though
