My family and I were in Kathikas yesterday and ended up in Araouzos. It was really quiet but very good food and value. I have written a few words at my site which you can follow by clicking the link below :

...after briefly browsing the mostly traditional Cypriot food menu we opted for a meze as it had been a while, and with the child asleep we knew we had some time to relax ! So the match began with the intial few cold "rounds" coming on quite fast (an excellent Houmous as well as tahini, tzansiki, potato + beetroot salads, homemade bread), maybe a little too fast, but once the cooked food came out things slowed down to a better pace.

Would certainly recommend to those looking to go off the beaten track for traditional food, building, chairs, surroundings and staff !

hi,
Did you go on my recommendation, then?
No connection with restaurant - but as you said the hosts make one feel so welcome.
Note to self - must try harder and read instructions!

Hi Ruth., I did read your recomendation before we went but my nan, my mum & her fella made the choice as they went there 18months ago and loved it then. if it hadn't rained (and child was awake) i think we would have been at Kyparissos as they have a playground and i've enjoyed a great meal there before. Would be more than happy to edit your pending review to have a bit more opinion and a bit less "hard facts" :)
