This has now been taken on by new owners and I went for the first time this evening - absolutely lovely and possibly the best since we have lived here - especially if you like big chunky northern chips!
The batter was also very nice and all very reasonable at €14.80 I think for 2 x Cod and Chips, 1 x Curry Sauce and 1X Mushy peas.

For anyone living in close proximity I can thoroughly recommend.

They also do Curries and various other items - I did notice that Chicken Breast was €3.50 which I also thought reasonable.

They are sited virtually opposite the Casa Luna Restaurant as you drive out of Stephanie towards Tala. Just looked at their menu and it says they are open every day bar Sunday from 4 pm but I think on going past I have seen they advertise sandwiches and rolls at Lunchtimes but forgot to ask themI

Their Tel No is 96423925

Yum sounds nice.I tried the new one next to the frog and toad in Coral bay and although nice a felt that 21 euros for 2 cod a chips and 1 mushy peas was pricey so 14 euros sounds much better.

Will second the Happy Chicken - although I would suggest they need to rethink the name of the business as it doesn't do any justice to this lovely takeaway!

Burgers are very tasty and homemade, curry & rice also v good as are the chips & rotisserie chicken & all v reasonably priced and very good quality. These guys deserve a chance as they are producing v good quality food and shouldn't be judged on the previous management of Happy Chicken!

Might give it another go ...... unfortunately it wasn't very good under the previous owners, Tala definately needs a good TA.

You won't be disappointed Rocky!

This is the problem when establishments were not good under previous owners. My O/H definitely did not want me to go but we had heard so many good things from neighbours and I was fed up of driving all the way to Coral Bay so went very apprehensively but so pleased that I did.

Let us know what you think!

OK - Went to the Happy Chicken.....had the fish and chips as recommended. 1 large cod and chips and 2 medium cod and chips just under 22.00euro. I had the large, wife had the medium and 2 little ones shared a medium. It was lovely, chips were great fish was good. Would definately have again.

Thumbs up from the Kashoulis Clan !

Does anyone know whether you can eat-in at The Happy Chicken please? Otherwise usually soggy by the time you get it back home. I have tried ringing a few times but never get an answer.
Thanks
Yvonne

They dont have eating in there , just a couple table to sit at while you are
waiting for your takeaway .

They won't go soggy from Tala to Emba- bet you can do it in 3 minutes! The batter is lovely and crispy but I am ony two minutes away!

The Chicken Breast portions are huge and very moist and tasty too!

Don't know what time you are ringing them but they always answer me within a few rings
