I have to agree IMHO its the british governments that have let europe rip the heart out of Great Britain.I remember being little and hearing that we had to stop celebrating VE day cos the common market (germany) did not like it. :?:

I love this phrase ''We won the war''

How come the Brits are taught in school that we won the war , the yanks are taught the same
and then the Russians are also given the same education that they all won the war alone .. ?? ..

Why dont they teach us that the Allied forces won the war ..
they never give us stats , like who lost the most soldiers , who fought the most battles ,
They just feed us john wayne movies and guns of the navarone !! ..
Its the same now in modern day wars , they are feeding the public propaganda bull-5hit
and everyone is swallowing it by the bucket full ..

There is nothing to celebrate if you are one of the people who will never see their loved ones again.War is not glorious,it is a sacrifice too much for those who gave their lives and no war has ever solved anything forever and never will.
It does not mean that I do not appreciate every last one of those brave souls who signed up to protect their country, my own Father lays in a cemetry in a foreign field and I bet he would be appalled at how this world has turned out.
Money spent on preventing war would be better spent than on huge military displays and weapons manafacture and mans greed for power and wealth.
