Invitation to members of Paphos People Forum

Back by popular request is another 4X4 Scenic Drive to raise funds for Soldiers Sailors Airmen and Families Association Forces Help.

This spring we will be venturing into the southern foothills of Troodos Forest.
The event is open to anyone with an off-road 4X4. The route is designed to be non-damaging and will be suitable for all 4X4s, especially smaller Terrios and RAV 4 size vehicles.
There will be some more challenging sections available for the more experienced driver in suitable vehicles.

The date will be Saturday 30th April and will start at 09.00 in Timi and finish at a picnic site near Pera Vasa. There will be "toilets" at the picnic site.
The cost to join in on this fully marshalled event will be a minimum donation of €10 per person.
Please remember that all money raised by SSAFA on the island, stays on the island to help fund local projects and casework.

We could squeeze you in our tank Neil - unfortunately not room for Oxana (or she could come and leave you). This is because we are planning on taking the Souvla BBQ and making a Cypriot picnic of it. You are most welcome to join the Polemi contingent - we won't eat you - well probably not :D

Many thanks to Drew and his team for an excellent day out. A well prepared route in delightful scenery. Looking forward to what you come up with next time.

Thank you Pete for coming along today.

Yes, we have just got back home, unloaded the Land Rover and counted the donations.
We had a convoy of 25 cars taking part today that we split into two groups. Everyone told me they loved the route and the picnic area at the end.
I would like to thank the Marshals; Jeff and Jeanette, Frank and Liz, Andrew, Lorraine & Monica, Edward and Joan and Phil and Anne. All these people have done the route at least twice and some cases four times at their own expense.
Therefore I can announce we have raised donations totalling €470! . This money will be paid to the SSAFA Branch Treasurer next week.
Thank you.

Our next event is: SSAFA Party in the Park - Sponsored by the deVere Group - on 4th June.
More info on that next week.
